Gurston Down Speed Hill Climb celebrates its 50th Anniversary during the Tony Marsh Memorial Weekend on the 17th and 18th of June. The Anniversary Celebrations include some of the cars and drivers who competed at the first event or were part of Tony Marsh’s racing career. There will be a convoy run of the cars during practise and during the events both days. Tony Marsh was instrumental in the design and build of the hill as we know it today. There are over 130 cars and drivers together with more than 30 motorbikes competing on both days with a separate event on Saturday and Sunday. Nick White from Melksham Wiltshire will be joining the Clio Cup Race Series grid for 2017. Nick will be entering as an independent entry running his own team. This will be his first full championship campaign after a successful karting career as a teenager, and in 2016 making his mark in car racing with regular podium finishes in the Trackday Trophy. Nick also made a strong debut appearance in the Clio Cup Road Series for the final race meeting at Silverstone last year, finishing on the podium in both races. We did it!! LM1 RS claimed 1st place again in the Turbo Dynamics N2 class with a 1:41:69 on the Litchfield GT-R Sprint Series at Croft Circuit. The Sprint Series moved onto a very wet circuit (as you can see below) in North Yorkshire at the beginning of September. Once again Nick Goss drifted his way to top honours in the standard Turbo Billstein N1 class with his stage 4. Nick even took the second fastest GTR time of the day with a 1:44.75 on his warn R888s!
