Honda's new three-cylinder 1-litre direct-injected engine is the same petrol engine that was initially available in the Civic sold in Asia and Europe. Honda Car Company are currently working on a new 1-litre turbo petrol engine. They will be using BorgWarner’s own compact, wastegated, turbocharger for the engine. Honda's new three-cylinder 1-litre gasoline direct-injected engine is the same petrol engine that was initially available in the Civic sold in Asia and here in Europe. BorgWarner claims that the addition of the new turbocharger will improve the engine efficiency and boosts performance as well, taking the overall power output to 127 bhp. In addition, it improves fuel economy while providing excellent torque characteristics over the entire engine speed range. Will Hall took his first British Hillclimb Championship run-off win in two years at Harewood on May 7th. Driving the Force AER WH, Will also took the fastest time of day with a 50.48s run. After the second round at Harewood, where the colder temperatures and a course marker picked up on his run meant an eight-place finish, Will finds himself third overall in the Championship. Gurston Down Speed Hill Climb celebrates its 50th Anniversary during the Tony Marsh Memorial Weekend on the 17th and 18th of June. The Anniversary Celebrations include some of the cars and drivers who competed at the first event or were part of Tony Marsh’s racing career. There will be a convoy run of the cars during practise and during the events both days.
