Sunday 13th September marked the much anticipated return of the Marsh Brothers to the renowned Gurston Hillclimb Course in Salisbury. Peter Marsh, who is the Founder and Managing Director of Turbo Dynamics, and his brother Simon are the sons of the late multi-discipline sportsman Tony Marsh. Tony Marsh, who co-designed the Gurston Hillclimb Course in 1967, enjoyed a successful racing career which spanned over five decades and included Formula 1 and 24 hours at Le Mans. His record six British Hillclimb Championship titles is an achievement which still remains intact today.It was a long awaited return for the brothers who have both enjoyed previous success at the course. The team at Turbo Dynamics recently upgraded two monstrous Garrett turbochargers for airline pilot Jez Sang and his well-known Vauxhall Monaro. The Twin-Turbo Monaro is prominent fixture on the automotive scene and starred on the front cover of Total Vauxhall Magazine with a seven page feature back in 2012. The notorious vehicle is a result of Jez’s quest for supercar performance status and the hard work and effort by the Monaro and VXR8 specialists, Monkfish Performance. The project started back in 2007 when Jez purchased a new Monaro VXR with a LS2 V8 engine as standard. The annual automotive event sees the fastest performance cars from across the UK come together to compete across three different disciplines for the highly coveted Ten of the Best title. It was a fantastic weekend with a huge array of cars including Nissans, Subarus and Mitsubishis in their plethora taking on the competitions different events; a handling circuit, a quarter mile drag race and a top speed over a standing kilometre. Seawork International has become over the years a hugely significant event for all sectors of the marine industry. As ever, 2015's event was jam packed with the latest in on-board safety technology, revolutionary gadgets and pioneering machinery, not to mention the abundance of cutting-edge vessels of all shapes and sizes which were docked at the ABP Southampton Port outside the exhibition centre.
